IMAGE DEVELOPMENT AND COMMUNICATION PIECES
“True Colors” is the name of the set of exhibitions that Ricardo Carriço opened in 2022.
The project consisted of creating an image that would communicate the concept of the exhibition (organized into four chromatic collections) and that would be materialized in communication pieces:
– Invitation
– Poster
– Catalog
“Known by the general public as an actor, the passion for the visual arts has always accompanied him, having held his first exhibition at the age of 21. After more than a decade of interruption, he returned at the end of 2022, in an explosion of color, and is now heading North to present at the World of Wine Gallery “True Colors”: an exhibition composed of four series – “Birds”, “Structures”, “Lines” and “Ropes”- a body of work developed with different techniques and materials, but which has four-color dynamics in common. on other models of structure, the formal field is also based on 4 symbolic elements, the line, the rope, in their intricate movements, the space and its occupants and the structures that are shaped in 4 series.” The exhibition is a journey through the artist’s peculiar imaginary and informalism, which allows, at a glance, to understand the dialogue between the canvas and the use of subtle materials, all of them in a coherent, elegant, logical and natural fusion. There is a romantic component due to the fascination of color that illuminates Ricardo’s painting and that seems to have the capacity to hypnotize the viewer through the apparently empty spaces, which are simultaneously full of mysterious corners, some warm, others, places for meditation and peace.”
